Stained Glass Guitar Light - Sunburst Mikey Houser

The Soul Storey -
This masterpiece is a true work of art, with each step done in studio by the artist, Lauren Storey. Constructed with 80 pieces of glass precisely fit together; color placement, cut, grind, foil and solder. The face was tacked and epoxied to the guitar. With well over 40 hours invested in the project, this is one show stopper for sure! 
Crafted with love and legacy at its core, this guitar is a tribute to the late Mikey Houser, the lingering lead guitarist of Widespread Panic.
 The Details-
I selected a Fender guitar, appropriately, as it was one Houser played. The guitar was carefully dismantled, removing the face and strings. A template was made and the design process began…. 
I was inspired by the beautiful tones and variety of orange glass in my current stock and wanted to incorporate in a new project. The sun, moon, and clouds all came together with the mix of vibrant red, orange and yellow glass for the sun rays, an opaque moon resting behind a peacock blue Houser up in the clouds, made with heavenly blues and pearly whites.
The guitar is lit from within, featuring internal LED lights installed inside the guitar. The lights shift in color and rhythm, responding to music and mood alike with countless settings on the included remote control. You can download the app for free on your phone as well!
