Stained Glass Guitar Light - Grateful Dead Steal Your Face
The Soul Storey -
This masterpiece is a true work of art, with each step done in studio by the artist, Lauren Storey.
Constructed with over 100 pieces of glass precisely fit together; color placement, cut, grind, foil and solder. The face was tacked and epoxied to the guitar. With well over 60 hours invested in the project, this is one show stopper!
The Details-
I selected a Fender guitar, appropriately, as it was one Houser played. After the guitar was carefully deconstructed, including the removal of the guitar face, a template was made and the design process began….
“It Must Have Been the Roses”
Taking inspiration from the song, I wanted the roses to stand out. To do this, I decided on a black opaque glass to surround the stealie and rose with leaves. As you can see, when the guitar is lit the roses glisten.
The guitar is lit from within, featuring internal LED lights installed inside the guitar. The lights shift in color and rhythm, responding to music and mood alike with countless settings on the included remote control. You can download the app for free on your phone as well!
Whether on display in your studio or sacred space, each piece is a conversation starter, a legacy, a living piece of art.
Included with each guitar:
A wall mount for display
Remote control for lighting with multiple settings
